Dear Friends and delegates,

It gives us a great pleasure to invite you to attend the 4th joint International Conference of the British Division of the International Academy of Pathologists and the College of Pathologists of Sri Lanka on Hepato-billiary, Pancreatic and Haemato-lymphoid pathology to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 14th to 16th August 2013.
We are privileged to have the participation of world authorities on haemato-lymphoid, hepato-billiary and pancreatic pathology. They include Professors Kevin Gutter, S. Y .Tan, F. Campbell and S. G. Hübscher from the United Kingdom.
We, as members of the college of Pathologists of Sri Lanka have an important responsibility towards our future generations of pathologist, trainees and colleagues to upgrade our skills and raise the standards of histopathology to meet international requirements. We need to create and sustain a suitable milieu for active exchange of ideas, knowledge and expertise.
Surgeons, Radiologists and Oncologists and Sri Lankan Pathologists will team up with the International faculty to discuss and share knowledge through a series of lectures, symposia, case seminars, a slide quiz and a poster competition.

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the ICON Hepatobiliary Pancreatic & Haematolymphoid 2013, which will be held from 14th to 16th August 2013 at the Hotel Ramada Colombo in our beautiful country, Sri Lanka. This is the 4th Sri –Lankan Surgical Pathology International Conference organized by the College of Pathologist of Sri Lanka in collaboration with British Division of the International Academy of Pathology. This conference will give you a unique opportunity to meet renowned international and regional speakers, giving you the latest and most up-to-date knowledge in Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and haematolymphoid pathology. This exciting 3 day educational activity will be accompanied by an inauguration ceremony scheduled to be held on 13th August 2013 at the Hotel Ramada Colombo.
We hope to meet your expectations both scientifically and professionally and hope that this forum will also be an excellent opportunity for you to meet colleagues from all over the world and exchange knowledge and experiences with them.
In addition, we invite all professionals, researchers and students in the field of pathology to submit abstracts to be presented as poster presentations, to promote and incite educational participation from all levels of medical experience. We also encourage you to consider this conference as a good chance to explore the life and culture of Sri Lanka.
